Potassium nitrate (KNO₃)

13.7% Nitrogen (N), 46.2% Potassium (K₂O)

Potassium nitrate is a fully watersoluble fertilizer for fertigation in greenhouse and field production. A good source of potassium and nitrogen in nitrate form, implying its rapid and easy uptake. The watersoluble potassium nitrate by Sembodja has certain advantages such as high purity and low salt index, absence of chlorides and perchlorates, slightly acid pH, low moisture content, free flowing, easy and safe to use.

Potassium nitrate provides many positive effects on crops that lead to improvements in the quality of the yields:

  • Improves plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stress
  • Higher protein content
  • Higher starch content in grains and tubers
  • Higher vitamin C content
  • Better colour and taste of the fruit
  • Larger fruit size
  • Thicker fruit skin
  • Less physiological damage (wrinkling of the fruits’ skin and cracking of citrus fruits, ripening spots on tomatoes, etc.)
  • Better quality during storage and transportation
  • Longer shelf life

Direct application as fertilizer, NPK and NK granulation, NPK and NK bulk mixing, liquid and suspension fertilizers, fertigation (drip irrigation or spraying), foliar application, in starter and transplant solutions, etc.
