Sembodia offers its customers seeds of several varieties of durum wheat from the leading Italian breeding company CGS Sementi (Semia). We carefully select the varieties after monitoring the development, observing the productivity and quality of the grain under different environmental conditions and growing technology in order to provide ready-made solutions and guidelines for our customers.
When growing durum wheat, there are several specifics that must be taken under account:
Sowing period – durum wheat should not be sown too early, because the plants continue to grow in winter. Fertilization – in durum wheat, quality indicators are of key importance for the successful realization of production. That is why proper management of nitrogen nutrition during the season plays such an important role.
