Sembodja offers a selection of rapeseed by the French company Maisadour Group. The hybrids cover the most used oilseed technologies (conventional and imazamox-tolerant technology) and groups of early maturity in Bulgaria. The selected hybrids exhibit quick initial growth, frost resistance, good compensatory characteristics in case of low density of planted crops, early flowering or non-shattering of the pods. Quality of the seed offered is of the highest standard and something we work for without compromise. Rapeseed is an important technical, oil-producing crop. Due to the specifics of agro-climatic conditions, rapeseed areas in Bulgaria vary by up to 50% compared to previous years. From a revenue perspective, rapeseed is an important crop as it is usually the first to be harvested and the first to provide financial resources at the start of summer harvests. Rapeseed needs almost twice as much nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulfur as wheat because of the low level of nutrient remobilization in the plant. Unlike wheat, the nutrition of rapeseed depends almost entirely on the intensity of photosynthesis until maturity – 90%, and only 10% of the nutrients supply comes from the remobilized reserves in the plant.
